The Sydney Library of Things (TSLoT) is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community project with access to a wide variety of tools and equipment for borrowing.
Anyone over 18 is welcome to join the Sydney Library of Things (TSLoT).
TSLoT is membership based – $115 annually ($85 Concession), $30 quarterly ($22 concession) or $12 per month ($9 concession). The fees go to maintaining the library, tools, insurance and building the collection.
Annual and Quarterly memberships can borrow up to 5 items at a time.
It’s easy to sign-up:
Memberships are good for 12, 3 or 1 months and can be renewed at any time.
Once you have chosen the items to reserve from the TSLoT website, you must go to the cart and submit it.
Check this MyTurn cart instructional video on how to navigate this. (Thank you to Toolo in the Blue Mountains for this instructional video).
Your reservation is only complete when you have received a confirmation email.
TSLoT is open 9am to 12pm midday every Saturday (except some public holidays – please check Facebook and/or our website for updates).
Please keep in mind if you have reserved something that is already booked out, it will/may need to be returned by the previous borrower that same day. If the item is returned not in working order or is a hazard, we cannot loan it out again. We cannot guarantee the time the item will be there if being returned that day.
Please respect the tools and borrowing times to keep things running smoothly.
When returning: it is recommended to come in the first hour (eg between 9am and 10am) to ensure we can check the item before loaning out again.
When picking up: it is recommended to come in the last hour (eg between 11am and 12pm).
You can check the inventory online without creating an account.
Please see our wish list for information on donating tools and other items.
